The second issue of the scientific journal “The Legal Culture” was inspired by the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which persists to inspire researchers even today. The wording of the successive articles of the Declaration motivates us to rethink the extent to which human rights constitute in our times a platform for understanding, that allows to establish communication among people. The authors of 12 texts of the current issue of “The Legal Culture”, entitled „Dignity as a Source of Rights and Freedoms”, are conscious of those prospects and the threats they imply; that is why they present their personal reflections and seek to know the truth, while pondering upon the contemporary reception of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its significance.
